2017 Wedding Trends | Foxblossom Co.

As we move past the winter months and start heading for warmer days, the 2017 wedding season is ready to kick off into full swing! This year’s trends are a welcome change from the trends of the past: vibrant, bright, and unique ways to spice up a traditional wedding and make the day uniquely yours.

Take a look through some of our favorite 2017 wedding trends below!

Embrace Color

White weddings are beautiful and classic, but many couples are choosing color as an alternative. While we'll always be fans of lighter, airy palettes, bold accents and details are a fun way to make sure your wedding is one-of-a-kind.

"White and neutral tones will always be connected to weddings, but color will play a big role in 2017. Expect to see color in the flowers, the stationery and the attire. Weddings should be a celebration and fun means more colors." - Jove Meyer, Wedding Planner | The Fashion Spot

For brides who want to stick with a classic dress and decor but desire a little splash of color, consider adding in brighter florals rather than the customary greens and whites. A lively bridal bouquet can brighten your palette without taking away from the traditional draw of a white or ivory dress, and colorful centerpieces can add a pop to your tablescapes. We love the look of these rustic, yet colorful florals from Swoon Floral Design below.

Add Some Sparkle

In 2017, metallics, especially gold and rose gold, are continuing to make a huge comeback! Adding metallic accents throughout your decor can give the event a classic, timeless feel. Considering including a metallic in your color palette? We suggest pairing with one or two accent colors: gold looks great with navy or Pantone's color of the year, "Greenery", and rose gold pairs well with ivory and blush.

Foxblossom Co. Bridal Party Champagne Flutes

We've recently added these mirrored gold bridal party champagne flutes to our roster. These beauties can glam up your table setting, and your wedding party is sure to appreciate the personal touch. Gold details in invitations, menus and table numbers can help unite this subtle theme.

We love the little gold details that this Malibu bride (via Style Me Pretty) sprinkled throughout her special day. Delicate gold lettering on the menu, a sparkling gold tablecloth at the head table, and golden bridal accessories all tied into her theme without becoming gaudy.

A Return to Nature

“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 [...]. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate, revitalize and unite, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.” Leatrice Eiseman, Director of the Pantone Color Institute via Pantone.com

Golden tones may make us think of elegance, but when paired with natural tones and large floral arrangements, you can create a veritable paradise! Incorporating large plants, neutral red-toned woods, and sparing natural stone accents will not only amplify the dispersed color, but make the golds pop out even more.

Be careful not to overdo it here - the golds, reds, and natural tones can clash, but when perfectly balanced, the harmony is absolutely gorgeous! Going for Greenery? As a rough guide, ½ of your decorations should be neutral toned or white, ¼ should be gold tinged, and the last ¼ should be wood-accented or natural.

Make it Personal

2017 is all about expression - and a big part of that this year is taking the impersonal standards and making them personalized! Looking for a gift or accessory to make your bridal party feel extra special? We specialize in everything custom and personalized. Our current favorites are our personalized, laser engraved hangers and luxe monogrammed robes.
